Fitzgerald Transloading

Fitzgerald Transloading was established in 2004 by Larry and Joey Fitzgerald. We had long recognized the need to be more diversified in the transportation industry.

The rail spur was originally built and owned by the Rock Island Railroad. It was a siding that crossed the highway and tied back into the mainline.

Much of the track was not attached to the rail ties. Fitzgerald Transloading refurbished the siding with new railroad ties and ballast and added truck scales and a conveyor to unload rail cars.

Fitzgerald Transloading's first job was unloading slag from Chicago, IL. We later expanded to unload cement from South Texas and added warehouses to store bauxite from Brazil. The small rail spur has made Minco a destination for products to come from all over the world.

We believe that all models of transportation will be essential to move all the products required for industry and consumers in the global economy. Fitzgerald Transloading wants to bring a portion of that economy through Minco. To better prepare for the future, we expanded in 2014 with a new 90 rail car facility just south of Minco on 70 acres. This new facility is able to handle more varied products from just as many different customers and tenants.

Minco has always been a transportation hub dating back to the Chisolm Trail, the Rail Head of the Rock Island Railroad then with US 81, and the multiple trucking companies and truck drivers based here. Fitzgerald Transloading is continuing that tradition with the two rail facilities and its partnership with Fitzgerald Trucking to make Minco a center of economic activity for Oklahoma.
